Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck surprised his onlookers by popping up on the injury report Wednesday, the first time he's been listed there since 2012.
Andrew Luck doesn’t throw on Thursday, expected to play Sunday for fantasy owners
The Colts signal caller is ailing, but is expected to play on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Luck was limited Wednesday and also practiced at a limited capacity on Thursday, according to a report by NFL.com. Luck has been dealing with a shoulder injury, which he likely experienced during Week 3's comeback win over the Tennessee Titans. The franchise quarterback took a few snaps in the portion open to the media, but did not throw any passes.
Fantasy impact: There still isn't reason to believe Luck will miss Week 4's contest vs. the divisional rival Jacksonville Jaguars, but not throwing passes this late in the week is enough cause to monitor Friday's report closely. It's worth mentioning that Drew Brees also did not throw passes during his limited practices, and he was eventually held out of action for last week's game.
Head coach Chuck Pagano said Wednesday that the team has “supreme confidence” that Luck will play, which deserves weight despite it falling under generic “coach speak.” Even at less than 100 percent, Luck deserves high QB1 consideration.
