Fantasy football projections, Week 4: Eagles-Washington featuring Jordan Matthews, Sam Bradford and Jordan Reed

We break down the Week 4 matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington.

The Week 4 matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington features a divisional matchup that could have big implications down the stretch. We've got the fantasy projections courtesy of numberFire.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles came into last week's game against the New York Jets with something to prove. Although they almost let the Jets come back in the game, for all intents and purposes, they proved it. Ironically enough, wide receiver Jordan Matthews, who has been the most consistent player on the team this season, actually had his worst fantasy day of the year in the victory. He caught six passes for just 49 yards. Still his talent is sky high and now that the Eagles' offense is starting to look a little better, Matthews' numbers should only improve going forward.

The same goes for quarterback Sam Bradford, except it's because his bar is set so low. Whereas Matthews is realizing his potential, Bradford is struggling. Even in beating the Jets, he completed just 14 passes for 118 yards. Those numbers will need to improve in a real hurry for fantasy owners, but a game against Washington represents a good opportunity to do so.

Washington

What tight end Jordan Reed is doing for Washington this year is impressive considering how inconsistent the team is at the quarterback position. He managed six catches for 96 yards against the New York Giants last week and would've done even better if Kirk Cousins hadn't underthrown him on a few plays. It is clear Washington needs Reed if the team plans to move the ball down the field through the air on Sunday.

It would be nice if Pierre Garcon could make a contribution as well. He was targeted 12 times last week, but caught just five passes for 64 yards. He'll need to be better in order to make up for the absence of teammate DeSean Jackson, who is still a few weeks away from a return to the lineup thanks to a hamstring injury.
