Fantasy football projections, Week 4: Lions-Seahawks featuring Calvin Johnson, Matthew Stafford and Jimmy Graham
We break down the Week 4 matchup between the Detroit Lions and the Seattle Seahawks.

Detroit Lions
One would think a player as talented and capable as wide receiver Calvin Johnson would have more than 160 receiving yards and a touchdown in the last two games. That’s especially true considering he’s been targeted 30 times over that span. The problem is the lines are having issues up front. The offensive line isn’t affording Megatron enough time to get down the field for a deep ball. Even against the Denver Broncos, a team one would assume would score a lot of points and force an opponent into a shootout, Johnson finished with just 77 receiving yards. He’s matchup proof, but a game against Seattle isn’t exactly what the doctor ordered at the moment.
Hopefully quarterback Matthew Stafford can start working some matchups to help out Johnson and fantasy owners. As much as Johnson is affected by the offensive line, Stafford is feeling the heat even more so. He has five interceptions on the season and has yet to eclipse 300 yards passing in a game. While those numbers will surely improve throughout the course of the year, fantasy owners are hoping it happens sooner rather than later. The Seahawks pass defense is currently ranked second in the league, so he’s definitely got some work to do. Stafford needs to step his game up and Sunday’s contest would be a perfect time to do so.
Seattle Seahawks
The Detroit Lions defense is currently ranked 26th in the NFL, having given up 727 yards to quarterbacks in the last two games combined. That’s good news for Russell Wilson, who did a great job managing last week’s game against the Chicago Bears. It didn’t lead to big time fantasy points, as the Seahawks only managed two field goals in the first half, but Wilson should be able to use his legs to top the Lions on Monday night.
The good news is Wilson was able to help a recently complaining tight end, Jimmy Graham, get more involved in the offense. Graham caught seven passes on eight targets for 83 yards and a touchdown against the Bears. While it appears the Seahawks have to consciously make an effort to get Graham involved in the offense, if he continues to produce that shouldn’t be a problem. Fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief because Graham is finding his groove in Seattle.
