Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor has been one of the more pleasant surprises of the NFL season. His team is 2-1 with their third-ranked scoring offense at 33.3 points per game. Subsequently, Taylor is sitting pretty as QB No. 5 in fantasy leagues.
Fantasy football start/sit: Tyrod Taylor could have a nice fantasy day
Tyrod Taylor has been a fantasy revelation this year. We break down the fantasy implications.
He's been one of the more reckless QBs in recent memory with three interceptions and three fumbles, but he has big-time numbers with 714 passing yards, 96 rushing yards and eight total TDs in his three games so far. Yes, he's had favorable matchups against the Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins, but he gets another one on Sunday.
The New York Giants are coming to town, which means there should be points on the scoreboard. They have been the 19th-best matchup for fantasy quarterbacks with each of their three games allowing at least 316 yards.
The bad news is that receiver Sammy Watkins won't be there, but Taylor should be able to overcome it. Plus, not having LeSean McCoy in the backfield may make the Bills more pass happy.
Fantasy impact: He is not a must-play guy, but fantasy owners should view him as a solid QB1. Start him unless you have an elite option.
