Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant appears to be making a fast recovery from foot surgery. Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones went on KRLD The Fan on Monday morning to talk injury updates, and said that “there’s been no setbacks” with Bryant. He added that there’s a “real shot” Bryant will be ready to return in Week 7, one week after Dallas’ bye.
Dez Bryant could return to fantasy lineups in Week 7
Bryant’s recovery from foot surgery appears to be ahead of schedule and he could be back after the Cowboys’ Week 6 bye. We break down the fantasy implications.

Bryant suffered a broken bone in his foot in Week 1 that required surgery and skin grafts. Estimates for his return ranged anywhere from 4-6 to 10-12 weeks. A Week 7 timetable would be solidly in the middle of those projections. Bryant had five catches for 48 yards before going down in the season opener.
Fantasy impact: Bryant still has a hazy timetable, but we’re starting to get more clarity on his condition. Obviously a Week 7 return would be a major boost for fantasy owners, even if Bryant is limited in his first or second game back. If you’re still stashing him on your fantasy bench, your patience should be rewarded soon enough. The window to buy low on Bryant has likely closed by now.
