Andrew Luck won’t start TNF, per Adam Schefter, fantasy owners out of ... luck
The Colts’ signal-caller could miss his second straight week. We break down the fantasy implications.
UPDATE (10:20 a.m. ET): According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Matt Hasselbeck made the trip with the Colts to Houston and is expecting to start. Luck will test his arm before the game, but Hasselbeck is expected to be under center against the Texans.
The Indianapolis Colts are uncertain if Andrew Luck will start Thursday night despite practicing this week, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter.
A report by ESPN's Ed Werder on Wednesday indicated that the Colts expected Luck to start Week 5's battle with the Houston Texans, but according to Schefter's report, Luck's availability will come down to how he feels upon testing his arm before the game.
Luck already missed Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to his shoulder injury, and it appears as though he is in danger of missing a second straight divisional matchup.
Fantasy impact: The only saving grace for fantasy owners is that this game is early enough in the week that contingency plans can be leaned upon if Luck can’t make the start.
Matt Hasselbeck, who battled illness throughout the week would start in Luck's place, but even he isn't viable in standard fantasy leagues despite the favorable matchup at hand.
Luck remains in the QB1 conversation if he is able to start, but fantasy owners won’t know that until 90 minutes before kickoff.
