Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger won't talk about his target return date after suffering a sprained MCL, but Steelers beat reporters wouldn't be doing their job if they didn't.
Ben Roethlisberger could return Week 8, per report, remains premier fantasy stash
The Steelers franchise quarterback was carted off the field in Week 3, but it looks as though he will return sooner than anticipated. We break down the fantasy implications.
According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Roethlisberger has had no setbacks from his Week 3 injury and cites Nov. 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals as a possible return date.

But Roethlisberger said on his weekly radio show on 93.7 The Fan that team doctors are pleased with the progress.
“We’re just going to keep taking it week-by-week and try and get back as soon as I can,” Roethlisberger told the show.
Fantasy impact: Roethlisberger began the season at a torrid pace, throwing for 912 yards and four touchdowns in 11 quarters of play, eight of which did not include Le'Veon Bell and all of them without Martavis Bryant on the field. Should he return at this form, Roethlisberger is immediately in the high-end QB1 conversation and will be a boon to the skill position players around him.
With the depth at the quarterback position dwindling after injuries to Tony Romo and Andrew Luck, fantasy owners could do far worse than stashing Roethlisberger while he is hurt. Of course, teams that are off to a hot 4-0 or 3-1 start have the luxury of being able to look at long-term options more than fantasy teams that have sputtered.
