San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick admitted to feeling a bit tentative against the Green Bay Packers last week after throwing four interceptions in a blowout loss on the road to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3, according to the San Francisco Chronicle's Eric Branch. Kaepernick has just 227 passing yards to go with five interceptions and no touchdowns in these last two games combined.
Colin Kaepernick says he’s feeling tentative, so is his fantasy value
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has thrown five interceptions in the last two games and he’s lacking confidence. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: When Kaepernick first grabbed hold of the starting quarterback job in San Francisco from Alex Smith, it appeared the team had found a diamond in the rough. Kaepernick had the size and strength of many of the league's top notch passers with the added element of mobility and speed complementing his game. He looked impressive both inside and outside of the pocket.
Since signing a big mega deal prior to the start of last season to remain the team's franchise player for years to come, however, Kaepernick has far from justified it. His play this season has affected the entire team. The defense is staying on the field longer than it should be, receivers Anquan Boldin and Vernon Davis can't produce and the running game has been almost nonexistent in the last three weeks, because opposing defenses are stacking the box.
At this point, fantasy owners have probably gathered that Kaepernick is not worth betting on even in deep fantasy leagues. He’ll need to find a way to summon together his confidence or the 49ers could find themselves well out of a playoff race by the time November hits.
