Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is expected to play against the Oakland Raiders this week despite suffering a head injury in last week’s contest against the St. Louis Rams, according to beat writer Chris Tomasson.
Teddy Bridgewater questionable this week, but expected to make fantasy start
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is expected to play despite dealing with a head injury. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: Bridgewater isn’t really a fantasy-worthy quarterback outside of deep leagues or two-quarterback formats. That said, his presence in the lineup does positively impact running back Adrian Peterson and wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
Although the sophomore quarterback is listed as questionable going into Sunday’s matchup, coach Mike Zimmer definitely expects him to be ready to go against the Raiders. Bridgewater could have an uncharacteristically big day against the silver and black this week, a team that surrendered 38 points to the Pittsburgh Steelers last week.
Fantasy owners should be able to count on Bridgewater to make his return, although its best to wait until the official word trickles down prior to kickoff. If Bridgewater can’t go on Sunday, veteran Shaun Hill would be next in line for the start.
