Week 10 wraps up Monday night, with the 8-0 Cincinnati Bengals hosting the 3-5 Houston Texans. The Bengals are set up well to win the AFC North, while the Texans are only a half-game out of first in the AFC South.
Fantasy football advice, Week 10: Who to start/sit for Texans vs. Bengals on Monday night
The Bengals need a win to stay undefeated. The Texans need a win to somehow stay alive in the playoff race.
Houston running back Chris Polk and wide receivers Cecil Shorts III and Nate Washington are all on the weekly injury report, though all three are expected to play on Monday. The Bengals, meanwhile, continue to be the league's healthiest team, with no fantasy contributors on the weekly injury report.
Houston will travel to Cincinnati for Sunday’s game, with kickoff scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET. Here’s a look at the fantasy names to consider:
TEXANS
Start ‘em: The best wide receiver in fantasy right now is probably DeAndre Hopkins. If he's not No. 1, he's No. 2.
Start ‘em?: The team is certainly looking to Alfred Blue more than its other running backs. He's a flex play, but with the upside that comes with a full-time role. ... If Cecil Shorts III or Nate Washington were alone in the role of the team's No. 2 wide receiver, either one would be very interesting. With both healthy, there might not be enough to go around.
Sit ‘em: Since re-taking the team's quarterback job, Brian Hoyer has actually been really strong, averaging more than 19 fantasy points a game. The problem is just that he is the same guy who got benched in Week 1, and against a strong Cincinnati defense, it's better to look elsewhere. ... Chris Polk and Jonathan Grimes don't have much to offer fantasy. ... Garrett Graham and C.J. Fiedorowicz both lack any kind of upside. ... Nick Novak hasn't been much of a fantasy contributor with Houston. ... The Texans' defense has had two good games in its last three, but those are the unit's only two good games all season.
BENGALS
Start ‘em: After a bad Week 8, Andy Dalton snapped right back to form in Week 9. He's a strong performer. ... A.J. Green is still A.J. Green. ... Tyler Eifert has as much upside as any tight end, and that includes Rob Gronkowski. ... Mike Nugent has 40 fantasy points in his last four games. ... The Bengals' defense should do well against the Houston offense.
Start ‘em?: The running-back duo of Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill has been crazy frustrating this year. If you are using one this week, it's Bernard, but both have high upside and a low floor. ... Marvin Jones is a flex play with upside.
Sit ‘em: With Green and Jones and Eifert, there isn't any work for Mohamed Sanu to do.
