Cleveland Browns quarterback josh McCown isn't 100 percent, but continues to produce despite seemingly suffering a new injury each week.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 9: Josh McCown
The Browns’ signal caller is banged up, but could he still produce on a short week? We break down the fantasy implications.

In Week 7's loss to the St. Louis Rams, McCown exited with a shoulder injury, and then sustained a rib injury a week later although he stayed in the game.
McCown tossed three touchdown passes in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals, but was largely ineffective in the second half as the Browns gave up 27 unanswered points and blew a 20-7 lead. McCown's work won't get easier with the Cincinnati Bengals defense looming on a short week.
Fantasy impact: McCown’s status is up in the air, and can’t be expected to do much practicing in the days leading up to Thursday’s showdown with the undefeated Bengals. Though Cincinnati gave up plenty of passing yardage to open the season, they have seemingly tightened up, allowing three touchdowns through the air over the last four games.
Though McCown is capable enough to do damage against formidable defenses, it’s hard to imagine any fantasy owner feeling confident in starting him with so many less than ideal circumstances going against him.
As a result, McCown is best considered a middling QB2 with upside, and owners in standard formats can likely find better streaming options for Week 9.
