Despite a 15-13 win over the Baltimore Ravens, the Miami Dolphins could not get anything going through the air on Sunday, but DeVante Parker doesn't deserve to be on the receiving end of finger pointing.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 14: DeVante Parker
The Dolphins’ rookie wide receiver continues to make an impact after being given an expanded role. We break down the fantasy implications.
Parker provided the lone bright spot of the afternoon in the passing game, high-pointing a 38-yard touchdown reception in the end zone while leaping over two defenders. The rookie from Louisville finished the afternoon with three catches for 63 yards and the touchdown, and somehow accounted for 73 percent of the Dolphins receiving yards despite the modest total.
Fantasy impact: Parker was a non-factor early in the season as he recovered from a foot injury, but a rib injury to Rishard Matthews provided the rookie an opportunity to make an impact, and he has. Parker now has 143 yards and seven catches over his last two games, and has found the end zone in each of them. Fantasy owners are in search of players who are peaking at the right time in order to secure their league crowns, and Parker appears to be a player who fits that bill.
Against the Giants, Parker remains a high-upside WR3/flex option in a game where the Dolphins passing game has a chance to bounce back.
