Despite a big game from Rashad Jennings in Week 14, New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin has not committed to abandoning his committee backfield approach, according to Daniel Popper of the New York Daily News.
Rashad Jennings still part of committee approach, presents fantasy risk for Sunday
Tom Coughlin remains committed to using four running backs in his backfield. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jennings was fed the ball consistently for the first time all season, amassing 102 yards on 24 touches, with both of those marks being season highs. With Andre Williams sidelined after a botched handoff, and receiving specialist Shane Vereen not needed as much with the Giants rarely playing from behind, Jennings was featured and thrived in that role. Coughlin acknowledged Jennings' performance, but stopped short of guaranteeing he would be featured more because of it.
Via New York Daily News:
“For the life of me, I have no idea why you people are so hung up on this. Must be nothing else to write about. But certainly we will,” Coughlin said, when asked if Jennings would continue to get the bulk of the carries. “We have, again, different ability ranges and guys who can be tapped and utilized in many different functions, (Shane) Vereen being another. And we’ll continue to do that, as well.”
Fantasy impact: Because the Giants use four different running backs, game flow will always be a huge factor in determining who gets the bulk of the touches. And even though a high percentage of carries is what fantasy owners are looking for, getting a slight majority amid a committee of four is still not consistently enough for fantasy relevance.
Against a stout Carolina Panthers defense, no Giants running back deserves fantasy consideration for Week 15. Jennings and his counterparts can safely remain on the bench in the thick of the fantasy playoffs.
