DeSean Jackson returns to practice, presents upside for fantasy owners
Washington will likely get its top wide receiver into the lineup for Week 15’s matchup with the Bills. We break down the fantasy implications.
Jackson missed Wednesday's session due to a knee injury he suffered in Week 14's victory over the Chicago Bears, but he did not leave the game despite being visibly aggravated by it. In a report from El-Bashir on Tuesday, Jackson expressed optimism that he would be able to suit up for Sunday's contest against the Buffalo Bills, and his attendance at practice puts him on track to do so.
Fantasy impact: Jackson is amid an offense that likes to feature the run, and his chances to capitalize with his big-play ability have been limited even when he’s been healthy. With Jordan Reed taking on a primary role in the receiving game, Jackson has been a high-variance fantasy option who is difficult to trust despite his obvious upside.
With Stephon Gilmore sidelined, Jackson could get his shots to capitalize on Sunday, but fantasy owners would be taking a calculated gamble by starting him. He remains a boom-or-bust WR3/flex in standard leagues.
