Davis relieved Josh McCown after the veteran quarterback exited Week 12's loss to the Baltimore Ravens with a fractured collarbone, while Johnny Manziel stayed on the sideline. Despite the Browns falling to the Ravens on a game-ending "kick-six," Davis put them in position to win, coming back from a seven-point fourth quarter deficit and hooking up with Travis Benjamin for a 42-yard touchdown pass late in the game.
Fantasy impact: Davis threw 12 touchdowns and nine interceptions through 10 games in 2014 with the St. Louis Rams, while tallying 2,001 passing yards. Those are modest touchdown and yardage totals that would not compensate for his 12 total turnovers, and fantasy owners had no reason to add Davis unless it was in the deepest of formats.
That sentiment remains true for 2015, as the Cincinnati Bengals pose a much tougher challenge than the leaky Ravens secondary, and Davis remains a low-end QB2 for as long as he is in the Browns' huddle.
