Chicago Bears tight end Zach Miller is officially active for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Zach Miller injury update: Bears TE active for fantasy owners
Martellus Bennett’s replacement has proven capable, and will start again on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Miller, like his teammate Alshon Jeffery, missed a practice session due to an illness, but returned later in the week. A rib injury allowed Miller to only participate at a limited capacity in practice, but his presence in two sessions indicated that he would be ready to go in place of Martellus Bennett once again.
Fantasy impact: Miller has quietly been a decent streaming option for fantasy owners in need of production at the position in certain weeks, and he presents reasonable upside once again in Week 15. Miller has found the end zone in two of Bennett’s absences this season, and is coming off of a 5/85/1 line against Washington.
Though the Vikings present a tougher matchup for Miller in Week 15, fantasy owners who will be without Tyler Eifert in the fantasy semifinals would not be foolish to give Miller a look as a backup option. He is a fringe TE1/TE2 for Sunday's matchup.
