Fantasy football advice, Week 15: Who to start/sit for Browns vs. Seahawks
No one is hotter than the Seahawks right now.
The Cleveland Browns finally got a third win of 2015 in Week 14, besting the San Francisco 49ers in a home game. Now, they face a much tougher test, going on the road to face a red-hot Seattle Seahawks team in Week 15.
The Browns will be without wide receiver Andrew Hawkins for another game Sunday as he deals with a concussion. Quarterback Johnny Manziel and kicker Travis Coons are both on the injury report, though both are expected to play. Seattle, meanwhile, will be without running backs Marshawn Lynch and Thomas Rawls, but tight end Luke Willson should be fine to play despite his own rib issues.
Seattle hosts Cleveland Sunday, with kickoff scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET. Let’s take a look at the fantasy names to consider:
BROWNS
Start ‘em: One way or another, Gary Barnidge just keeps producing.
Sit ‘em: It hasn't been a terrible run for Johnny Manziel, though it hasn't been great, either. And now he faces a tough Seattle defense in a road game. Nope. ... Isaiah Crowell had a monster Week 14, but don't let that fool you into using him against a stout Seattle run defense. He and Duke Johnson Jr. are both stay-aways. ... Travis Benjamin had four total fantasy points his last two weeks. He does have high upside, but the floor seems more likely. ... If Travis Coons were a surprise inactive Sunday, the emergency Cleveland kicker is backup quarterback Austin Davis, which would be hilarious, but there's definitely nothing for fantasy there. ... I can't think of any defense I'd want to use against Seattle as hot as the Seahawks are right now, and definitely not the Browns' defense.
SEAHAWKS
Start ‘em: No one has had a hotter stretch than Russell Wilson is on right now. ... The possible exception to that previous sentence is Doug Baldwin, who has eight touchdowns in his last three games and nine in his last five. ... The Seahawks' defense at home against Johnny Manziel? Yes please.
Start ‘em?: Everything is shaping up for Bryce Brown to lead the Seahawks in carries down the stretch, and he certainly carries loads of upside. He does have risk as well, though; he doesn't even have a 2015 carry. ... Tyler Lockett has all sorts of skill, but he's up and down, and looks more like a dicey flex play. ... Steven Hauschka hasn't reached double-digit fantasy points in six weeks.
Sit ‘em: Neither Fred Jackson nor Christine Michael is likely to be a priority in the offense this week. ... Luke Willson hasn't exactly been dominant replacing Jimmy Graham.
