Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy tore his MCL on Sunday against Washington, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
LeSean McCoy has torn MCL, fantasy owners need backup options
The Bills will likely need a new featured running back for their remaining two games after LeSean McCoy’s knee injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Schefter added that McCoy will be considered week-to-week for the Bills' final two games. With the Bills eliminated from playoff contention, it is difficult to envision a scenario where team brass pushes to have McCoy on the field for meaningless snaps. Karlos Williams and Mike Gillislee would be in line to soak up the backfield duties while McCoy is sidelined.
Fantasy impact: Fantasy owners who enjoyed McCoy's late-season surge will have likely seen it come to an end, and now a storm has to be weathered if there is any hope for his fantasy owners to hoist their leagues' trophies. Williams would be in line for a big workload against the Dallas Cowboys, and deserves starting consideration despite a tough matchup.
Williams would be a strong RB2 if McCoy remains sidelined, and could see a positive game script with Dallas starting its fourth quarterback of the season in Kellen Moore.
