Calvin Johnson is active for appealing fantasy matchup vs. Saints
Megatron was in no danger of sitting out despite missing practice time this week. We break down the fantasy implications.

Johnson is battling a minor ankle injury but has yet to miss a game this season. The 30-year-old has been given rest in practice this week. Johnson played nearly every snap in last week’s loss to the St. Louis Rams but had a quiet game, finishing with just one catch on five targets for 16 yards. Johnson has 71 catches, 981 yards and seven touchdowns on the season.
Fantasy impact: Despite the 4-9 Lions playing out the string, they don’t have any apparent plans to rest Johnson for their final two games. Johnson has had a down year by his standards and hasn’t cleared 100 yards since Week 6, but he gets a great matchup against the Saints’ historically bad defense. Fantasy owners can fire him up as a comfortable WR1 for the playoffs.
