Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert will not play on Sunday against the Denver Broncos due to a concussion, according to NFL Network's Rand Getlin.
Tyler Eifert ruled out Sunday, per report; fantasy owners need backup options
The Bengals will have to face one of the league’s most formidable defenses without their star tight end. We break down the fantasy implications.

Getlin added that it is possible Eifert does not make his return to the lineup until the playoffs begin. The Bengals are hurt at key positions on offense in addition to Eifert, with quarterback Andy Dalton sidelined and wide receiver A.J. Green dealing with a back injury.
With Eifert being ruled out, it is looking likely that the Bengals will just try to make it through the season without further damage and attempt to pick up the pieces come playoff time.
Fantasy impact: Tyler Kroft will start in Eifert's place, but he is not deserving of fantasy consideration. With AJ McCarron at the helm, the Bengals offense does not have the firepower it once did in the season's early goings.
Fantasy owners, who rode the likes of Green, Eifert and Dalton to fantasy championships, now have the tough task of recalibrating their lineup.
It would be difficult to justify anyone in the Bengals’ current lineup as a must-start besides Green. Fantasy owners will have to look to backup options at the tight end position in order to win during fantasy championship week.
