San Francisco 49ers running back DuJuan Harris led the team's backfield in Week 16 against the Detroit Lions. Shaun Draughn, who has been the primary ball carrier during the last half of the season, was ruled out with a knee injury.
Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 17: DuJuan Harris leads 49ers backfield in absence of Shaun Draughn
DuJuan Harris was the hot hand for the 49ers in Week 16. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Harris finished the game with 11 carries for 73 yards along with one reception for 11 yards. Kendall Gaskins was named as the team's starting running back entering Sunday's game, but Gaskins finished with just two carries for 12 yards. If Draughn can't suit up for Week 17, Harris and Gaskins will likely continue sharing time out of the backfield.
Fantasy impact: It will be difficult to trust Harris for the final game of the season, but he’s the RB to own if you’re a Draughn owner fighting for a championship in Week 17. ESPN’s Adam Caplan reported that Draughn was day-to-day on Tuesday, but the 49ers decided to keep him off the field. It’s very possible he returns to the lineup for the final game of the regular season. Harris will be an RB3 with potential for a significant workload if Draughn can’t pull it together in time.
