Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson has been placed on injured reserve, the team announced Wednesday.
Vincent Jackson sent to injured reserve, ends injury-plagued fantasy season
The Buccaneers have ended Vincent Jackson’s 2015 season with one game remaining. We break down the fantasy implications.

The move will officially end Jackson's season, although the veteran wide receiver has not appeared in a game since Week 14. After injuring his knee in Week 7's loss to Washington, Jackson has played sparingly and could also be in a different uniform in 2016 due to a steep cap value. Mike Evans and Austin Seferian-Jenkins will continue to pace the receiving corps for Jameis Winston in Week 17.
Fantasy impact: It will be the Evans show once again as the Buccaneers close out their season against the Carolina Panthers. It will be a tall task for him going up against Josh Norman and an elite Panthers defense, but Evans has the talent to capitalize against top-shelf competition.
As for Jackson, fantasy owners in keeper leagues will have to hope for a clean bill of health after 2015 marks the first time in five seasons he has not eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark. Depending on where Jackson winds up in 2016, fantasy owners will have a decision to make about whether to keep him on their rosters.
