New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman faces "long odds" to suit up on Sunday, according to Tom E. Curran of CSN New England.
Julian Edelman unlikely to suit up Week 17 for Patriots, fantasy owners
The Patriots will likely go another week without their No. 1 wide receiver in the lineup. We break down the fantasy implications.

Edelman has been practicing with the team for four weeks after suffering a Jones fracture in Week 10's victory over the New York Giants. However, it appears that the Patriots are set on giving Edelman rest before their first playoff game. With a bye week already clinched, the Patriots have the luxury of giving Edelman an extra week of rest before the postseason begins.
Fantasy impact: Edelman resting is the same approach the Patriots are using with Danny Amendola, as he remains questionable at best as well. It will likely come down to Brandon LaFell and Keshawn Martin to start at receiver on Sunday, but the passing game can expect more heavy doses of Rob Gronkowski and James White.
Lafell and Martin would be difficult to trust in Week 17, but White, Gronkowski and Tom Brady deserve starting consideration in all formats.
