Buffalo Bills running back Karlos Williams may return on Sunday from a shoulder injury, according to WKBW's Joe Buscaglia.
Karlos Williams could return Week 14, remains risky fantasy option
The Bills could add to their backfield depth on Sunday, depending on the health of Karlos Williams. We break down the fantasy implications.

The shoulder ailment forced Williams to exit Week 12's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, and the rookie running back has not practiced ever since. However, it appears that he is on the cusp of being able to take the field once again, since head coach Rex Ryan envisions his presence as a possibility, according to Buscaglia's report. LeSean McCoy would maintain lead duties in the backfield upon Williams' return, but Mike Gillislee would have a difficult time seeing the field in that event.
Fantasy impact: Gillislee broke a 30-yard run in the first quarter of Sunday's victory over the Houston Texans but did not make an impact otherwise, and would see the bench upon Williams' return. Williams' role as McCoy's complement does not usually yield fantasy points, but he is noteworthy in the fantasy community after scoring seven touchdowns in his first six games. Game script and McCoy's health directly relate to Williams' fantasy value, and there is not much reason for fantasy owners to have faith in his standalone value because of these circumstances.
Even if Williams suits up on Sunday, he would be best left on benches in 10- and 12-team leagues.
