Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly will rotate his running backs on a week-to-week basis, according to Eagles Insider.
Eagles, Chip Kelly, will continue RB rotation, fantasy owners must recalibrate
It’s anyone’s guess how the Eagles will deploy their running backs down the stretch of the season. We break down the fantasy implications.

The declaration comes on the heels of a surprisingly low usage of DeMarco Murray amid an even more surprising 35-28 win on the road against the New England Patriots. Murray played in just 14 of the Eagles' 61 snaps, and carried the ball eight times for 24 yards. Darren Sproles got the start and led the Eagles backfield with 35 snaps while totaling 100 yards on the afternoon, although this may not be a trend going forward. With Ryan Mathews nearing a return from a concussion, it's likely that the Eagles' usage of running backs gets muddier before it gets clearer.
Fantasy impact: It goes without saying that the Eagles saved their season on Sunday, but they only put up 248 yards of offense despite 35 points on the road. “Trust” would be too strong of a word for any fantasy owner to put into the Eagles offense even after an encouraging win, and for the unfortunate ones who have stock in this team’s backfield, games will be much harder down the stretch of the fantasy season.
Murray cannot be considered an RB2 for Week 14's game against the Buffalo Bills' capable run defense, and Sproles remains a middling flex option in PPR leagues. Fantasy owners are advised to brainstorm other options for Sunday and beyond.
