Chicago Bears tight end Martellus Bennett is "truly day-to-day," head coach John Fox said according to ESPN's Jeff Dickerson.
Martellus Bennett is ‘day-to-day’ with rib injury, remains risky in fantasy leagues
The Bears’ tight end remains aggravated from a rib injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Bennett has been dealing with a rib injury in recent weeks, and the Bears' tight end appeared to aggravate the injury during the third quarter of the team's 26-20 overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Though Bennett missed a few plays, he returned to the game, although it remains to be seen if he will suit up for Week 14's contest with Washington.
Fantasy impact: Though Bennett has a favorable matchup at hand on Sunday, it is difficult for fantasy owners to trust him after so many pedestrian outputs in recent weeks. After finding the end zone in two of the season’s first four games, Bennett has scored just one touchdown since then and has not eclipsed 59 yards since Week 4 despite the receiving game being depleted for much of the season.
At less than a clean bill of health, fantasy owners will have a tough time trusting Bennett until he puts a dent on the stat sheet. Until then, he is a risky TE2 option for Week 14.
