Cleveland Browns wide receiver Travis Benjamin is not practicing Wednesday, according to Nate Ulrich of Akron Beacon Journal.
Travis Benjamin sidelined Wednesday, fantasy status unclear
The Browns’ speedy wideout could return to action Sunday, but did not participate in Wednesday’s practice. We break down the fantasy implications.

Benjamin exited Week 13's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals due to a shoulder injury, and did not return with the game so far out of reach. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Benjamin was unlikely to miss any time, but not taking the field Wednesday is not a good sign to his availability. If Benjamin remains sidelined, Brian Hartline and Gary Barnidge would be expected to soak up targets in his place.
Fantasy impact: Though sitting Wednesday’s practice is discouraging, it is far from unheard of for a recently injured player to sit the first day of practice the following week. Benjamin still has Thursday and Friday’s sessions to attend, and his status will depend on his participation once those transpire.
Benjamin's playmaking ability always presents upside, but with the Browns languishing as a team, it would be hard to trust him as a fantasy option even against an exploitable San Francisco 49ers defense. He remains a high-risk, high-reward WR3/flex option for Week 14.
