Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson is not practicing Wednesday, according to Mike Klis of 9News.
C.J. Anderson sitting out Wednesday’s practice, fantasy status unclear for Sunday
The Broncos could be without a key component of their backfield on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Anderson exited Week 12's victory over the San Diego Chargers with an ankle injury, and there appears to be uncertainty over whether he will be able to take the field on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. Though he participated in stretching exercises, Anderson did not take part in light drills, according to Klis' report. Ronnie Hillman would get the bulk of the backfield duties and have Juwan Thompson spelling him in the event Anderson is forced to sit out Week 14.
Fantasy impact: Anderson still has Thursday and Friday to practice before serious doubt can be expressed over his availability for Sunday, but so far, there has not been any encouraging news to suggest he is a lock to get back into action. It would be unfortunate for Anderson to miss time since demonstrating in recent weeks that he was over a nagging early-season ankle injury, and it appears that it will be an obstacle he will have to overcome yet again.
Anderson would be a dicey flex option if he suits up on Sunday, but if he sits, Hillman’s fantasy value would get a significant boost.
