David Cobb's impressive preseason debut has earned him extra first-team reps for the Tennessee Titans, according to John Glennon with the Tennessean. Cobb finished Friday's game with 11 carries for 53 yards. He added a 1-yard reception to the day. In contrast, fellow running back Bishop Sankey finished with 15 rushing yards on eight carries.
David Cobb earns more 1st-team reps with Titans, fantasy stock rises
David Cobb’s impressive preseason debut isn’t going unnoticed. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

While Cobb certainly deserves more opportunity from the coaching staff, there’s no telling if he can really prove he deserves the featured workload as a rookie. Odds are that Sankey and Cobb start the season with a time share. However, it’s very possible that Sankey’s underwhelming numbers continue, allowing more opportunities for Cobb.
Fantasy impact: The jury is still out on Cobb. If anything, Sankey is further proving his low-ceiling fantasy value. Cobb can be scooped up the final rounds of most fantasy drafts. If he keeps improving throughout the preseason, that may not be the case much longer.
Again, the odds of a true workhorse emerging in Tennessee aren’t great. If we were to take bets though, Cobb would be the favorite.
