It's been over five months since Reggie Wayne has been on an NFL team. The New England Patriots changed that on Monday. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Patriots reached an agreement to a one-year deal with the veteran receiver.

The Patriots had reportedly brought Wayne in for a physical on Saturday. Since then, the Green Bay Packers were starting to generate interest after losing Jordy Nelson to a torn ACL. Wayne is well past his prime physically, but his knowledge of the game and locker room leadership could be a valuable asset in New England. Wayne finished the 2014 season in Indianapolis with 64 receptions for 779 yards and two touchdowns.
