The Dallas Cowboys have still been searching for a suitable replacement for DeMarco Murray. Between Joseph Randle and Darren McFadden, the team may never get the electricity that Murray exhibited in 2014, but having some consistency and reliability shouldn't be a tall order. According to Randle, neither he nor McFadden has proven they're the answer just yet.
Joseph Randle still fighting for Cowboys starting job, fantasy value still murky
Joseph Randle admits there is still competition in the Cowboys backfield. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Randle confirmed this to the Dallas Morning News by saying, “It’s still a competition. We’ll keep grinding every day.”
Randle did suit up for the team’s second preseason game. He carried the ball seven times for 30 yards. However, he took the field after McFadden got his starting opportunity. McFadden didn’t make much happen. He rushed for just four yards with three carries.
Fantasy impact: Regardless of who is named the starter in Dallas, there is plenty of fantasy production to be had behind Dallas’ outstanding offensive line. It’s assumed that Randle will lead the backfield in 2015. At 23 years old, he simply has more tread on the tires than McFadden, who is now in his eighth NFL season. Still, as long as McFadden can actually stay healthy, there will be a bit of a timeshare. Randle is currently being drafted in the seventh round of fantasy drafts (Yahoo!). That number will undoubtedly skyrocket once he’s officially named the team’s starter. McFadden is a low-risk option in the late rounds of most drafts.
