Eric Ebron continues to see his share of offseason hype. According to Lions insider Tim Twentyman, quarterback Matthew Stafford referred to Ebron as the player that he's seen the biggest jump in play from last season. The comments from Stafford echo a lot of what we've heard throughout the offseason. Many reports from various Detroit media outlets have highlighted Ebron's evolution into a significant target in the passing game.
Eric Ebron receives praise from Matthew Stafford, Lions TE still absent from fantasy draft boards
Matthew Stafford thinks Eric Ebron may be the team’s most improved player this offseason. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Ebron's supposed improvement would be welcomed. Poised to be the team's No. 3 target behind Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate in 2014, Ebron fell short of expectations as a rookie. It shouldn't be difficult for him to improve upon his 25-248-1 stat line from a year ago.
Fantasy impact: In the world of fantasy football, any time a tight end has the possibility of breaking out, it’s a big deal. There simply aren’t enough big producers at the position. It’s a long shot that Ebron puts up top-tier fantasy production, but there are much worse options to take a flyer on at the end of your fantasy draft. Ebron is going undrafted in many leagues. If you’re hoping to catch lightning in a bottle, he won’t cost you much to scoop up and hang onto for a few weeks into the regular season. For now, he’s still a TE2 in all formats.
