New York Giants running back Shane Vereen "could have a significant role" for the team in 2015, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano.
A new role with the Giants makes Shane Vereern a 2015 fantasy sleeper
Shane Vereen is on a new team. Should fantasy owners target him later in drafts?

Based on some of the storylines at camp, this sounds legitimate. The Giants are slinging the rock around in the passing game like the New England Patriots, which would suggest they'll want to have a pass-catching back like Vereen. The Patriots used Vereen in the slot last season and that may happen at some point with the Giants. He's getting some carries, but he's clearly behind Rashad Jennings for early-down work in running situations and perhaps Andre Williams is ahead of him, too.
Still, fantasy owners have to love hearing this, especially in PPR leagues. Vereen has battled some injuries in his career, but he’s busted loose multiple times in the Patriots’ system. If the Giants are indeed shifting to that type of scheme, that’s a fantastic sign for Vereen.
In PPR, Vereen is coming off the board in the seventh round. Potentially, he could be an RB2, so that’s a wonderful price. He’s an eighth-round guy in standard, which is basically market value. There could be big things on the way.
