Atlanta Falcons running back Tevin Coleman got the start at running back on Saturday. He was far from dazzling, finishing with four carries for just two yards. It was his first action of the preseason and he heads into September as the favorite to start.
Fantasy football draft strategy: Tevin Coleman doesn’t lose ground on Saturday
Tevin Colemn is an interesting target in fantasy drafts. When you should pick him up?

As ugly as that line is, Coleman had a nice little highlight-reel play. Check this out:

The Falcons do not really have much faith in second-year back Devonta Freeman, so the job is Coleman's for the taking. Perhaps the most beneficial part of his fantasy value is that offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan tends to stick with one back and not go with a committee. In other words, if the Falcons opt to go with Coleman, he should be poised for a massive rise in fantasy value.
Fantasy impact: In some low-level leagues, Coleman may even go undrafted. On the other hand, owners in competitive leagues are looking to pounce on Coleman near the sixth round. If there is nobody else you really want in that neighborhood, Coleman is worth a look.
