Robert Griffin III still not cleared of concussion, fantasy future in doubt
Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III is still feeling the effects of a concussion. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy Impact: There was once a debate about whether Griffin or Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck should be the first overall pick in the NFL draft. Now that debate looks absolutely laughable.
Griffin did have a pretty awesome rookie season, but since that time he's dealt with multiple serious injuries and the concussion is only his latest hurdle. Kirk Cousins has now been named the team's starting quarterback, news few people saw coming before Griffin went down with his head injury.
Fantasy owners may as well consider Griffin an afterthought at this point. Not only is he not the starter now, but he’s not even fit to play backup to Cousins. Good quarterbacks are better found outside of Washington these days.
