If you’re in the daily fantasy sports (DFS) game, you need as many tools as possible to help set your lineup. Sure, there are some things you’ll disagree with, but not acknowledging stats or information is usually a mistake. FanDuel had acquired NumberFire to help on some projections for NFL players for each week to give you another tool to help.
FanDuel daily fantasy projections, Week 1: Wide receivers
Getting ready to make some money in FanDuel for Week 1? Check out NumberFire’s projections for receivers with some fantasy analysis.

Along with the data from NumberFire, we’ll be adding some news, matchups and other information to complement the projections.
Here’s a look at the Week 1 wide receivers:
Top-tier options
Odell Beckham Jr. was the top receiver in fantasy once he was healthy last year and now he gets the Dallas Cowboys, who just lost cornerback Orlando Scandrick for the season. In his last game against Dallas, ODB caught 10 balls for 146 yards and two scores. Giddy up.
Randall Cobb is now the man and he looks to be over his shoulder injury from the preseason. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers uses him down the field and on the intermediate routes, so expect him to flirt with 10 catches and 100-150 yards.
Calvin Johnson is healthy and he should be posting some big numbers. The San Diego Chargers have two of the shortest corners in the NFL while you’ve probably seen Megatron out-jump triple coverage several times. After his sub-par 2014 we may be reminded of how good Calvin really is.
Bargains
Davante Adams is almost a no-brainer play, especially in cash games. His price of $5,500 was set before the Jordy Nelson injury, so the increased value isn’t reflected there. Play him.
Jordan Matthews is hardly the bargain Adams is, but you have to like his price at $6,800. Perhaps no player was more open during the preseason than Matthews and he is involved in Las Vegas’ favorite game to score the most points. We might see a monster game from him. Nelson Agholor is also a solid buy at $5,500.
Elite players with sub-par matchups
Julio Jones is projected as the No. 10 receiver, which is probably the biggest surprise of all. If you want to dismiss the low projection, we don’t blame you. Jones could seriously go for 200 and two scores with not much talent around him. Matt Ryan is going to feed him.
Emmanuel Sanders was a breakout player last year, but he gets a sub-par matchup and coach Gary Kubiak doesn’t quite lean on his WR2 as much as most coaches.
