Everyone loves to pick on the New York Jets. Whether it’s the butt fumble, the team choking down the stretch or their quarterback missing almost half the season because his teammate punched him in the face, they're usually in the news for the wrong reasons.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 1: Chris Ivory is a solid bet vs. Browns
Chris Ivory could be the focal point of the offense for the Jets. How confident should his fantasy football owners be this week?
Because of that, most fantasy owners tend to let Jets players slide even though their offensive line is above average and they have some good skill guys. There’s a good chance you drafted Chris Ivory as an RB3.
This week, he has a good chance to be the best back on your roster. The Cleveland Browns allowed more rushing yards than anyone last year and they haven’t made many changes to their depth chart. Plus, the Jets' defense should have no problem keeping the Browns' offensive game in check, which means the Jets might play the clock-control game.
Ivory is by far the favorite to get the goal line work and he has little competition behind him. Stevan Ridley is out for the first half of the season and Zac Stacy didn’t impress enough to be a legitimate threat.
Fantasy impact: You almost have to start Ivory this week. He is a good bet to be a top-10 back and could even be in the top five. If he does go off, you shouldn’t be selling high either.
