Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas (hand) will be checked on in two weeks before the Week 4 game. He could be out until Week 6 or 7, according to Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times.
Julius Thomas could be out until Week 6 or 7, fantasy value remains low
Julius Thomas could be out until Week 6 of 7. We break down the fantasy implications.

It doesn't look good for Thomas and the Jaguars. He had surgery back on Sept. 1 to repair a fracture in his hand and the procedure was expected to cost him about a month of playing time. On top of that, their offense looked lost against the Carolina Panthers in Week 1 with just nine points at home.
Without Thomas, the Jaguars will lean on Clay Harbor and Marcedes Lewis to step up, which didn't happen in Week 1. Harbor didn't catch his only target and Lewis wasn't targeted at all.
Fantasy impact: Maybe Thomas picks it up eventually, but he’s not someone really worth stashing in most leagues based on this news, assuming your waiver wire isn’t extremely thin. Obviously Harbor and Lewis are not options.
