Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. It is likely just a rest day and he should be ready to go against the Houston Texans on Sunday.
Jonathan Stewart gets rest on Wednesday, fantasy value fine for Week 2
Jonathan Stewart did not practice on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Stewart got his touches with 22 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but it resulted in just 56 rushing yards, 25 receiving yards and no scores. Meanwhile, running backs Mike Tolbert had just one carry and one catch while Fozzy Whittaker had two carries and two catches. Obviously, he's the featured back.
The Jaguars do have an improved defense, but the lack of production from the Panthers is discouraging all around. It’s no secret they have some serious issues at receiver and it’s helped defenses play their safeties closer to the line of scrimmage. That said, it’s all about the touches here and Stewart’s are safe as long as he’s healthy.
Fantasy impact: When a guy gets 20 touches, he should almost always be considered as an RB2. Unless you have some depth, Stewart is a decent start against the Texans.
