The Dallas Cowboys are going to be without Dez Bryant for a while. The First-Team All-Pro receiver could be out until Week 8 as he gets over a fracture to his foot.
Dez Bryant injury update: Fantasy owners can look to Terrance Williams
Dez Bryant is likely to miss about half of the season. What should fantasy owners do moving forward?
Obviously when a receiver like Bryant goes down, it'll have a trickle-down effect. The Cowboys are trying to piece together some depth to help out, but their new No. 1 receiver is now Terrance Williams. "These are the moments you train for," Williams said.
Williams has dealt with the drops a ton, so he might not be too trusted by quarterback Tony Romo. He still figures to be the top option against the Philadelphia Eagles. Atlanta Falcons receiver Julio Jones destroyed the Eagles, so there's a little to like here.
On top of that, expect running back Lance Dunbar and tight end Jason Witten to step up. We could also see more of receiver Cole Beasley and tight end Gavin Escobar.
Fantasy impact: If you need a WR3, Williams is a fine choice with his high upside and favorable matchup. Witten is also a nice mid-level TE1.
