Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is on the injury report again. This is not a surprise to hear at all, but Stewart is probable to play with a knee injury. He'll get a tough matchup against the Houston Texans.
Jonathan Stewart injury update: Fantasy owners can use him while he’s active
Jonathan Stewart is already banged up, but should his fantasy owners still use him this week?
Stewart did not practice on Wednesday, but coach Ron Rivera said it was “pretty much” a veteran’s day off. He was back on the practice field the next day and was in full pads. To be clear, he didn’t suffer an injury to his knee, which has been a problem for him in previous seasons.
Looking to Week 2, the Panthers might be in trouble on offense. They could only muster up one touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars, so they will likely have a tough time against the Texans.
Fantasy impact: Stewart should get his 15-20 touches this week, but it’s not going to be easy for him to score and rack up the yards. He’s more of a flex play this week.
