Nobody is picking the Jacksonville Jaguars to be an effective offense right now and in Week 1 they were the worst. They were the only team in the NFL to fail to score double-digit points, but at least they scored a touchdown.
Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 2: T.J. Yeldon gets a better matchup
The Jaguars are expected to take a leap on offense this year, but it’s not happening any time soon. Should fantasy owners still trust T.J. Yeldon while the team is still struggling?
Running back T.J. Yeldon earned the starting job and turned in team-high numbers of 51 rushing yards and 12 carries. Yeldon also chipped in with three catches for 16 yards on his four targets. By comparison, running back Denard Robinson had just five carries, two catches and 45 total yards.
The Jaguars had a bad matchup last week against the Carolina Panthers, so it gets a little easier against the Miami Dolphins. While the Dolphins have an improving pass defense, their run-stopping capabilities aren’t very good. Washington ran the ball a whopping 37 times for 161 yards in Week 1, and a similar strategy could be utilized by the Jags.
Fantasy impact: Yeldon figures to be a solid RB2 this week. He should get close to 20 touches and may come close to 100 total yards and hopefully a score.
