If you drafted an Indianapolis Colts player, you probably aren’t happy with how Week 1 went. Quarterback Andrew Luck struggled, receiver T.Y. Hilton got hurt, and receiver Andre Johnson lacked some serious chemistry with his quarterback.
Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 2: Frank Gore gets a Monday night game
Frank Gore was a no-show in Week 1. Should his fantasy owners expect him to turn it around in Week 2?
Perhaps none of those guys were more disappointing than running back Frank Gore. The former San Francisco 49er had just 31 rushing yards and no receiving yards on his 10 touches. The Buffalo Bills boast one of the best defenses in the NFL, but the Colts have another tough matchup on Monday Night Football against the New York Jets.
The Jets are still missing defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson, but their rushing defense looks to be one of the best. Rookie defensive end Leonard Williams was moving offensive lines like an All-Pro player and defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson was also terrific. Still, the Colts should be able to move the ball against the Jets on their home turf. That should allow some chances for Gore to hit pay dirt.
Fantasy impact: If you drafted Gore to be your RB2, you probably should use him. He’s not a complete must-start player, but his owners should expect him to score once on Monday.
