The Philadelphia Eagles were everyone's favorite team in the preseason. They were running at the fastest pace and were scoring points in bunches during the first halves of the preseason games. Well, now they're 0-2 and running back DeMarco Murray has just 11 rushing yards on 21 carries. Yikes.
Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 3: DeMarco Murray’s hamstring could be a problem
Nobody likes the Eagles anymore. Should fantasy owners start disappointing DeMarco Murray?
On top of that, Murray has a hamstring issue and needed to miss some practice. The good news is he was able to get back out there and he is going to play Week 3 against the New York Jets. Considering how great the Jets have been on defense and the struggles of the Eagles, it's hard to get excited about Murray in most cases.
Since Murray is a go, that means it's going to be a little tougher to count on running backs Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles. If for some reason Murray has a setback, Mathews would benefit the most while Sproles' role won't change much.
Fantasy impact: This is a situation to avoid this week while Mathews should be owned in all leagues.
