Welcome to Week 10 of the Daily Fantasy season. Pricing has stabilized as trends have emerged but there are still bargains to be found and even some higher-priced options that will go under-owned and can make a difference in your lineups. This article looks at some of the projected lesser-owned plays at running back who could provide huge boosts to your tournament lineups, as well as some trap plays to avoid.
Top daily fantasy football running back plays for Week 10
With Week 10 of the NFL season upon us, we take a look at some of the best running back values to be found on FanDuel and some players worth fading.

PLAY
Mark Ingram $6,300 (New Orleans Saints vs. Denver Broncos)
Two weeks ago we were leaving Ingram for dead after his fumble-induced benching opened the door for a big Tim Hightower game. Well, don’t write those obituaries yet. There was plenty of production to go around against the hapless 49ers last week and Ingram came back big with a 75-yard touchdown run as part of a massive day. The Broncos are suddenly a team that can be run on, and while his big day last week might attract some ownership, his price is still low enough to make value with another solid day at home. Hightower will get his, too, but Ingram might still be the man in this backfield, after all.
James White $5,400 (New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks)
Dion Lewis is oh-so-close to returning to the Patriots’ lineup, although whether it’s this week or how much he’ll play is still up in the air (like all things Patriots injury news). For now, White remains the most dynamic back in the lineup, and the Seahawks are vulnerable to pass-catching running backs. White should be plenty busy in this one and might want to show Bill Belichick that he’s still the better option over Lewis. He will be motivated to have a big night.
Peyton Barber $5,700 (Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Chicago Bears)
What a mess. Running back in Tampa is a danger zone, and with Doug Martin looking less likely to make his long-awaited return, Barber is the new man behind Jameis Winston. When he’s gotten carries, Barber has shown flashes of talent, and he should be busy as the Bucs will want to keep the Bears defense honest and not build a fortress around Mike Evans. Barber’s price jumped in anticipation of his high volume duties, but he’s still a bargain on FanDuel.
Rob Kelley $5,300 (Washington vs. Minnesota Vikings)
For those of you who played preseason DFS, you know what Kelley is capable of. He looked pretty good when last he played in London two weeks ago — so good that he has kept a healthy Matt Jones relegated to backup duties. The Vikings are still a formidable foe, but not nearly as tough as they were the first six weeks of the season. Kelley is going to get his chance, and at $5,300 he pretty much just needs to fine the end zone to pay off.
Darren Sproles $5,100 (Philadelphia Eagles vs. Atlanta Falcons)
Sproles has supplanted Ryan Mathews as the No. 1 back in Philly, according to head coach Doug Peterson. But Sproles is still priced like the backup. Sproles disappointed last week against the New York Giants, but the Falcons are another story and in a back-and-forth game, Sproles should be plenty busy. He will be popular since his price does not reflect his status, but he can open up so much on your roster that he will be hard to fade.
NAY
Todd Gurley $7,000 (Los Angeles Rams at New York Jets)
Gurley has a thigh issue that caused him to miss practice time this week and taking on a stifling run defense. Two strikes and you’re out.
Carlos Hyde $6,800 (San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals)
There’s no guarantee that Hyde is going to play, which makes him a risky start in a late-afternoon game. He’s also facing the Arizona defense on the road in a blowout situation. No thanks.
