Welcome to Week 12 of the Daily Fantasy season. Pricing has stabilized as trends have emerged, but there are still bargains to be found and even some higher-priced options that will go underowned and can make a difference in your lineups. This article looks at some of the projected lesser-owned plays at running back who could provide huge boosts to your tournament lineups, as well as some trap plays to avoid.
Top daily fantasy football running back plays for Week 12
With Week 12 of the NFL season upon us, we take a look at some of the best running back values to be found on FanDuel and some players worth fading.

PLAY
Thomas Rawls $7,000 (Seattle Seahawks at Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
So much for the Prosise Experience. Rawls was supposed to make a quiet, light return to the Seahawks lineup last week, while C.J. Prosise ran for 200 yards, caught 20 passes, climbed the Space Needle and threw a no-hitter for the Mariners. And that was just in the first half. Now reality has set in and Prosise is on the sidelines. And that means Rawls, who looked pretty good himself last week, now gets the full load. His price is still pretty cheap considering he gets to attack a weak Tampa Bay defense. Give this man the Prosise treatment this week.
Jonathan Stewart $6,900 (Carolina Panthers at Oakland Raiders)
Stewart has had three underwhelming weeks in a row after torching the Saints and Cardinals in his first two games off his early season injury. But Stewart showed some signs of life 10 days ago against New Orleans, and there is nothing challenging about running the ball against the Raiders. Stewart is going to be completely under the radar this weekend, but he has 20-point upside any time he takes the field. He should get roughly 20 carries in this one, and that could lead to a profitable performance that no one will be on.
Carlos Hyde $6,800 (San Francisco 49ers at Miami Dolphins)
It’s been a pretty simple formula this season: When Hyde gets 20 carries, he eclipses 20 FanDuel points. Last week, in his first game in over a month, Hyde carried 19 times against the Patriots. This week, he gets a Dolphins run defense that ranks 30th in the league. It’s a strong possibility that Hyde is getting 20+ carries this week. And though the Dolphins are playing at a high level the past month, trends are trends. Get Hyde on the cheap and points you should reap.
Rashad Jennings $6,600 (New York Giants at Cleveland Browns)
The Browns have not stopped a running back all season. They haven’t stopped much of anyone, frankly, but teams have been running at will on them. Jennings has been a fantasy nonfactor pretty much the whole season, but he turned 21 carries and six pass targets into 21 FanDuel points last week. Now imagine what he might do against a defense designed to make him look like an All-Pro. At $6,600, he is worth what might be his first appearance in your lineup all season.
Jeremy Hill $5,900 (Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens)
Was the price set before the news came out that Gio Bernard was out for the season, or does FanDuel respect the Ravens defense a little too much? A three-down back at $5,900 is pretty much unheard of, especially one that has six rushing touchdowns on the season in a two-down role. It’s hard to know exactly how Hill and the Bengals will fare without Bernard and A.J. Green. But as one of two healthy backs on the roster, it will be hard for Hill to not reach value this week.
NAY
Tim Hightower $6,500 (New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Rams)
Earlier this week, it was looking like Mark Ingram wasn’t going to play on Sunday with a concussion, but indications are that he will suit up. Check in on Sunday morning to get the final update, but if Ingram does go, Hightower’s value takes a pretty serious hit and should probably be avoided.
Isaiah Crowell $5,700 (Browns vs. Giants)
Crowell was supposed to get an increased role in the offense last week. Instead, he got eight carries. Maybe this week is his time to lead the offense. We’re not holding our breath.
