Luckily for Rodgers and the Packers, Nelson’s recovery from his season-ending ACL tear last summer has gone well and he will be back on the field when Green Bay takes on the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday.
Fantasy Impact: Some are expecting a shootout between the Packers and Jaguars this weekend, as it should be with two of the NFL’s most talented offenses facing off against each other. It was reported earlier this week that Nelson will have his snaps limited by Green Bay this weekend, but he should get plenty of opportunities to make plays against Jacksonville.
The Jaguars gave up around one touchdown catch per game to opposing wide receivers in 2015 and Nelson seems like a good candidate to be the recipient of that pass this weekend for the Packers. Yahoo! projects Green Bay’s veteran receiver to haul in about six balls for 80 yards against the Jaguars, in addition to a 50 percent chance of Nelson finding the end zone on Sunday.
With Rodgers still under center for the Packers, there is no reason for fantasy owners to not have Nelson in their lineups this weekend.
