Some felt his remarkable season in 2014 with the Dallas Cowboys was due to the team’s strength at offensive line, and Murray did not do well at proving people wrong last year.

Earlier this week, Titans head coach Mike Mularkey stated that Murray would be the lead back when Tennessee faces the Minnesota Vikings this weekend. This is good news for the Titans’ new running back, who is hoping to get back to something similar to the player he was in 2014.
Fantasy Impact: While his expectations for the entire 2016 season may be high, Murray and Tennessee may have to put some of their rushing goals on hold this weekend when they take on the Vikings. Minnesota comes into Sunday’s game with the same 11 starters from a defense that only allowed five total touchdowns to opposing running backs last year (third-lowest in the NFL).
The people who do the weekly projections over at Yahoo! do not seem to like Murray’s matchup with the Vikings this weekend either, as they think the running back will only gain around 78 total yards on 16 touches and no trips to the end zone. Fantasy owners may have to wait another week for the Titans and Murray to unleash the wrath of their “exotic smashmouth” offense on the rest of the league.
