Week 7 of the 2017 regular season is just about coming to a close with the Monday Night game remaining. Most fantasy football leagues will run their waiver wires late Tuesday or early Wednesday, but we are here to help you get a jump on the best options to consider.

We will be ranking the top five players likely to be available in your league at each of the four major positions. Some weeks there might not be five good options available, but we’ll scour for the best we can find. Additionally, throughout the week, we will update each of these articles as ownership percentages change and news arrives. The following ownership percentages come via CBS Sportsline entering Week 8.
Ted Ginn Jr., New Orleans Saints (67 percent ownership)
Whenever you can get a piece of a Drew Brees offense, you should probably take it. With Willie Snead inactive Sunday, Ginn soaked up a season-high seven targets and caught all of them for 141 yards. Ginn has seen an uptick in targets for two straight weeks, and even when Snead played last week, Ginn was a still a factor with a 4-66-1 line. Michael Thomas is still the No. 1 in this offense, but Ginn is making a pretty good case for being Brees’ No. 2 receiver target, and that’s something worth having on your roster.
Lee and Allen Hurns were tasked with filling the void when Allen Robinson went down for the season, and most fantasy owners gravitated toward Hurns, who is owned in 83 percent of CBS leagues. But it’s Lee who is making the most of the opportunity. Lee had six targets on Sunday, giving him 16 over the past two games, in which he’s made nine catches for 155 yards. Hurns was also solid in the rout of the Colts, but Lee is becoming the prime option here, and he’s available in far more leagues.
Kenny Stills, Miami Dolphins (27)
As long as DeVante Parker is sidelined, Stills is a major player in the passing game. Stills had two more touchdowns on Sunday after pulling one in two weeks ago. Overall in the past two weeks Stills has 10 catches for 134 yards. The Dolphins play Thursday this week, so there’s no guarantee that Parker will be available, making Stills an ideal bye-week fill-in.
In case you missed it on Thursday night, Robinson took over Chris Conley’s role in the passing game and caught 5 of 8 targets for 69 yards. Robinson had a standout preseason — especially the finale with a 3-127-1 line, so the coaching staff knows what he’s capable of. This is one of the most explosive offenses in the league, and if Robinson is going to get this kind of volume on a weekly basis, he’s going to be a major factor as fantasy players look for a playoff edge.
The Bills have a star running back, a rock-solid defense and a pair of quality tight ends. Their quarterback is rounding into form. All that’s left is finding a reliable wideout. Could Thompson, who was signed this week after being cut by the Bears, be that guy? He had four catches on four targets for 107 yards on Sunday, so it’s a start. He’s worth a flier in deeper leagues.
