Buffalo Bills tight end Charles Clay has emerged as the team’s go-to receiver for Tyrod Taylor. Clay leads the team in targets, receiving yards, and touchdowns solidifying him as a No. 1 tight end to start 2017.
Fantasy football Week 5: Charles Clay, start or sit?
Charles Clay has been the biggest weapon the Bills passing game in 2017. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: After trading away Sammy Watkins, the Bills needed someone to step up and Charles Clay has fit in perfectly. He is averaging 5-6 targets per game and is coming off of a five catch, 112 yard performance against the Falcons. Clay has great size and athleticism, which is a perfect compliment to the Bills strong run game that opens up easy throws off of play action.
Unless you have Rob Gronkowski (Who is hurt) or Travis Kelce you won’t find many better tight end options. Clay has caught 11 of his 13 targets over the team’s last two games, which bodes well against a struggling Cincinnati Bengals defense. His 227 receiving yards to date rank fourth among NFL tight ends.
Recommendation: START
